The (GPE) Green Period Educator is a 3 month program for professionals (young and old, in corporate and non-corporate spaces) who want to facilitate conversations around reusable period products in their offices, at their companies, in their resident associations, on whatsapp groups — everywhere! Through the course of the program, GPEs will be introduced to menstrual life skills, art of facilitation, creating safe spaces and educating people about green menstrual products in a systemic way with supporting material as required (PPTs, music, videos, dance, art, films — you name it, we got it!).
In the last 4 years, several of our Boondh’s community members have reached out to us with requests to facilitate sessions at their offices, recreational clubs, residential societies etc. Group the GPE program, Boondh will equip these changeagents to deliver these sessions towards bringing positive menstrual outcomes in their worlds. Over six weekends and 20hours, we will shall explore various modules to design the communication and implement the change we desire to.
Program structure:
Session one — Introduction to MHH, ice breaks, intention setting
Session two — Everything we should know about menstruation- anatomy, biology, diversity and inclusion (sex, gender, disability)
Session three — Everything we should know about menstrual products
Session four — Designing (Understanding audience & customizing your message) & facilitation (holding spaces, non-judgemental approach)
Session five — Variety of events / Possibilities — brainstorming
Session six — Insights, and what can be done better &how
Process:
1. Form to be filled to express interest by Dec 15, 2020
2. On being shortlisted, a reference, ID proof, deposit of INR 1000 (to be returned on the completion of the program)to be shared
Duration: 3 months
Program dates: Jan to March, second weekends of each month (subject to change) — to be confirmed after the cohort in onboarded
